মালদা মেডিক্যাল কলেজ হাসপাতালের বেড থেকে রোগী নিখোঁজ। ঘটনায় ব্যাপক চাঞ্চল্য ছড়িয়ে পরে হাসপাতাল চত্বরে।প্রশ্ন উঠছে হাসপাতালের নিরাপত্তা নিয়ে । এমনকি হাসপাতালে কর্মরত কর্মীদের বিষয়টি জানাতে গিলে রোগীর আত্মীয়র সঙ্গে দুর্ব্যবহার করে হাসপাতাল থেকে বেড় করে দেওয়ার অভিযোগ রোগীর পরিবারের। বাধ্য হয়ে নিখোঁজ রোগীর স্ত্রী ইংরেজবাজার থানা ও পুলিশ সুপারের দ্বারস্থ হয়েছেন সাহায্যের জন্য।

জানা গিয়েছে নিখোঁজ রোগীর নাম মুন্সী মুরমু। বাড়ি হবিবপুর থানার জাজৈইল গ্রামপঞ্চায়েতের জয়দেবপুর গ্রামে। তার শাররীক অসুস্থতার কারনে চলতি মাসের ১৩ তারিখ গুরুতর অসুস্থ হয়ে পরেন। বার বার কেঁপে কেঁপে ওঠে তার শরীর। এই অবস্থায় স্থানীয় বুলবুলচন্ডি গ্রামীন হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যায় স্ত্রী মিনতি দেবী। সেখান থেকে তাকে মালদা মেডিক্যালে কলেজ হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করেন তার স্ত্রী। এরপর চিকিৎসকেরা তাকে পরীক্ষা করে ছেড়ে দেওয়া হবে বলে জানিয়ছিলেন । এরপর বেডেই ছিলেন মুন্সী মেরমু। সেই সময় জিনিস কিনতে ওয়ার্ডের বাইরে আসে মিনতী দেবী । ফিরে গিয়ে বেডে স্বামীকে দেখতে না পেয়ে খোঁজ শুরু করেন। কিন্তু তার কোন হদিশ না পেয়ে কর্তব্যরত নার্সদের বিষয়টি জানালে তার সঙ্গে দুর্ব্যবহার করে তারিয়ে দেয় তারা । বাধ্য হয়ে মুন্সি মুরমুরের পরিবার ইংরেজবাজার থানায় অভিযোগ দায়ের করে।
প্রশ্ন উঠতে শুরু করেছে মেডিক্যালে কলেজে পুলিশ রয়েছে। রয়েছে নিরাপত্তারক্ষী। কিভাবে হাসপাতালের বেড থেকে রোগী নিখোঁজ হল। কিন্তু স্বামীকে ফিরে পেতে হননে হয়ে ঘুরে বেড়াচ্ছে স্ত্রী।
