এক অস্ত্র কারবারিকে গ্রেপ্তার করল ইংরেজবাজার থানা পুলিশ।ধৃতের নাম বিরু শেখ।বয়স (৪০)বাড়ি মালদার মানিকচক থানার জালালপুরের বাসিন্দা।তার কাছ থেকে ৩টি পাইপ গান ও ৩ রাউন্ড গুলি উদ্ধার করা হয়।শনিবার ধৃতকে মালদা জেলা আদালতে তোলা হলে সাত দিনের পুলিশি রিমান্ড চায় ইংরেজ বাজার থানার পুলিশ।এদিন পুলিশ সূত্রে জানা যায় এএসআই আনসারুল হক গোপন সূত্রে খবর পেয়ে ইংরেজ বাজারের শোভানগরের পুকুরিয়া মোড়ে হানা দিয়ে বিরুকে আটক করে,তল্লাশি চালিয়ে বিরুর কাছ থেকে তিনটি পাইপ গান ও তিন রাউন্ড গুলি উদ্ধার হয়।বিরু শেখ অস্ত্রগুলি বিক্রির উদ্দেশ্য মালদা শহরে এসেছিলো বলে জানা যাই ।
